Mavin Records’ vocal powerhouse, Magixx has joined forces with rising Afrobeats talent FOLA to deliver a captivating, mid-tempo groove titled “Juice & Liquor.” The collaborative track is a polished Afro-fusion cut that explores the complicated, often hazy intersection of romantic intimacy and late-night escapism. The song masterfully pairs Magixx’s flawless, R&B-tinted vocal harmonies with FOLA’s characteristic, rhythmically driven street-soul style.
The soundscape is incredibly rich and moody, built around a hypnotic guitar riff, sharp percussion, and deep, low-end basslines that perfectly capture the intimate ambiance of a late-night lounge. Magixx shines with an emotionally raw delivery, using his smooth tenor to navigate the insecurities of contemporary romance with immaculate vocal precision. FOLA provides the perfect counterweight, injecting a sharp, rhythmic flow that grounds the track’s sophisticated melodies into a steady, infectious groove.
