Building on their previous work together on “B4 B4,” Nigerian vocalists FOLA and Davido team up once more for “2am in Toronto,” produced by Blaisebeatz, a standout collaboration featured on FOLA’s 2026 sophomore album, 9.
Their prior joint effort, which also enlisted Mayorkun, landed on Davido’s Oriadé album in July. Amidst the promotional rollout for that project, Davido publicly praised FOLA, recognizing him as a key rising talent driving the future of Nigerian Afrobeats.
This track bridges different eras of the genre’s expansion. Davido brings over a decade of pioneering international experience, whereas FOLA stands at the forefront of a newer wave of artists whose sound blends Afropop, contemporary R&B, and indigenous Yoruba phrasing.
