Following a string of massive street-pop hits, Mavo returns with Business, an ambitious 13-track album released through Inner Circle Entertainment and Kilogbede Records. Instead of relying on short-lived viral trends, Mavo uses this project to broaden his musical palette, seamlessly weaving classic Afrobeats rhythms with raw street-hop energy and lush Amapiano production.
Business is rooted in themes of financial drive, survival, and complex relationships. From the opening title track, Mavo lays out his mindset, treating his musical journey as a serious commercial venture. However, he balances this hustle-first attitude with genuine warmth – vulnerable tracks like “Jehovah” and “Letter to My Baby” show an artist grounded by his origins and personal ties.
The feature list is equally intentional, elevating the album’s reach without cluttering its identity. UK rapper AJ Tracey adds sharp energy to “Poison (Panya),” while P.Priime crafts a hypnotic backdrop for “Use Me.” Meanwhile, SSSoundGawd brings a distinctly local flavor to the street-centric “BB Lifestyle.”

Ultimately, Business marks Mavo’s evolution from a trending act into a fully realized album artist. Seamlessly structured from front to back, the project highlights both his instinct for hooks and his dedication to cohesive storytelling, making it a standout release in this year’s street-fusion landscape.
