Nigerian singer FOLA has officially released the tracklist and guest features for his upcoming sophomore album, 9, which is slated to drop on October 9 through Dangbana Republik and EMPIRE.
Spanning 14 tracks, the project boasts an impressive roster of Nigerian guest artists, including Davido, Ayra Starr, BNXN, Darkoo, Bella Shmurda, and Zlatan. Accompanying the reveal, FOLA shared a heartfelt note emphasizing the authenticity and meticulous craftsmanship behind the record.
“Made this one with some of my favourite producers, musicians and artists. Every song came from somewhere real, every detail meant something,” he expressed, adding, “Wherever you are, whatever you’re going through, it is my hope that when you hear it, this album finds you at the right time. 9 is coming.”
The tracklist flows from opening tracks “awade” and “how many?” into high-profile collaborations such as “2am in toronto” featuring Davido, “treat u right” alongside Ayra Starr, and “my type” with BNXN. Additional guest spots feature Darkoo on “hold u down,” while Bella Shmurda and Zlatan team up for the album’s concluding track, “it’s over.”
