Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy headlined the halftime show for the National Football League’s inaugural regular-season fixture in France on Sunday, October 25, taking Afrobeats to the center of the league’s international expansion.
Performing at the Stade de France during the matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints – which concluded in a 16–10 victory for Pittsburgh – the Nigerian singer delivered an energetic set. He thrilled attendees with live renditions of major hits from his discography, including “Ye”, “On The Low”, and “Last Last”. He launched the performance with “4 Kampe II”, his collaboration with French-Haitian artist Joe Dwet File, incorporating Caribbean sonic elements into the arrangement.
The showcase presented Burna Boy’s Afrofusion aesthetic to a global audience, pairing his signature catalog with the commanding stage presence that has established him as a premier live performer. The event also highlighted the expanding international reach of Afrobeats across major sporting platforms.
