Popular Nigerian social activist VeryDarkMan has circulated video footage featuring hypeman and dancer Poco Lee alongside Afrobeats icon Burna Boy, fueling widespread online commentary regarding Poco Lee’s release status from UK custody.
Poco Lee (real name Iweh Pascal Odinaka) has been embroiled in severe legal troubles in the United Kingdom. Following his trip to the UK for scheduled performances, he was taken into custody and remanded on serious sexual assault charges.
According to records from Snaresbrook Crown Court, the charges against the popular dancer include multiple counts of rape and assault by penetration, as well as attempted rape. While newly surfaced videos show Poco Lee out of detention alongside peers like Burna Boy, and Poco Lee himself has publicly declared his innocence, legal records indicate that the official UK court proceedings remain active.
