José Mourinho reacts to Real Madrid’s victory over Barcelona

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho praised his side’s tactical organization and mental fortitude following a 2–1 victory over Barcelona in El Clásico at the Camp Nou.

A double from Kylian Mbappé sealed the win for Los Blancos, closing the gap on league leaders Barcelona to three points in the LaLiga standings.

Key Match Details & José Mourinho’s Tactical Breakdown

• Mbappé Decisive: Mbappé put Real Madrid ahead in the first half. Following Raphinha’s second-half equalizer for Barcelona, Mbappé struck late in the contest to claim all three points.
• Exploiting the High Line: Mourinho explained his strategy for breaking through Barcelona’s defensive setup: “I told Camavinga: go and attack the space. It’s difficult for any attackers to attack space against Barcelona… The solution is to use midfielders like Camavinga and Bellingham to break that line, and it worked.”
• Focus on the League: Reflecting on the broader title race, Mourinho stressed: “In my view, Real Madrid do not play to win at the Camp Nou. Real Madrid play to win La Liga… We need to continue like this and don’t go over the moon after this win.”
