Victor Boniface exit Bayer Leverkusen on loan

Super Eagles forward, Victor Boniface has completed a loan move from Bayer Leverkusen to another Bundesliga club, Werder Bremen.

The transfer comes after a potential deal with Italian side AC Milan fell through earlier this year. The Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface confirmed that the move to the Serie A giants could not be finalized after he failed a medical examination due to a past ACL injury in his right knee.

The 22-year-old striker is considered one of the Bundesliga’s most promising young talents. He scored 8 goals and provided 2 assists in 19 appearances for Leverkusen after joining the club in the summer of 2023 from Belgian side Union St. Gilloise on a five-year contract that runs until 2028.
