Released under the Rii Collective, the project masterfully bridges his dual personas: the high-fashion showman, Pheelz, and the technical virtuoso, Rii. Rejecting standard streaming formulas, the EP prioritizes live instrumentation, raw vulnerability, and performance art. Its sonic landscape effortlessly blends bebop jazz, hip-hop, zouk, and 3-step house.
While A Rii Set boasts high-energy moments – like the disco-infused “DIRTY DIANA RIDDIM” and the star-studded collaborations “GONGO ASO” with Young Jonn and the street-ready “OGA” featuring Shoday and Oshamo – its true core is introspective. The uplifting single “I’M OK” with Tiwa Savage serves as a powerful anthem for mental resilience, while the melancholy closer “RIDE OR DIE” featuring South Africa’s Ami Faku dives deep into Afro-soul.
