Raheem Sterling’s 8-year-old son, Thiago, has officially joined Arsenal’s Hale End academy, signing with the Under-9 side.
Taking his first big step in the world of football, Sterling’s partner, Paige Milian, shared the news in a touching Instagram post, celebrating Thiago’s achievement with photos of her son holding up a shirt from Arsenal’s academy and signing his contract with both parents proudly by his side.
“Beyond proud of my firstborn son Thiago for signing with @officialarsenalacademy U9’s,” she wrote on the Instagram post with the above photo, amongst others.
“The growth, dedication, and hard work you’ve shown over the past year have been incredible to watch; you’ve earned this. This is just the beginning, so keep your feet on the ground, stay humble, and keep grinding, the journey doesn’t stop here.”
For now, Sterling’s own career may be at a crossroads as Chelsea had no future for him at the club because of his high wage demand while the Arsenal side might return him to his parent club at the end of his loan period – but his son’s journey at Arsenal is just getting started.
As we all know, the Chelsea football club new owners are not willing to pay high wages to any player. For this reason, Jadon Sancho will also return to his parent club Manchester United, after helping the blues secure their first ever Europa conference league trophy.
